    Shango Dance Wand

    A carved wooden Shango staff or dance wand from the
    Yoruba tribe of Nigeria.  These wands are used in festivals
    and rituals to honor Shango, the Yoruba good of thunder,
    who controls the power of nature.  The entire piece is 16-1/2
    inches high and definately shows signs of age and usage,
    with a nice brown patina.
