    The Bura style, characterized by terracotta figures with
    flattened heads and typical scarification, is linked to
    the site near Nyamey, the capitol city of Niger.  The
    findings of the Bura is arguably one of the great
    archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.  
    Knowledge of the Bura culture is based exclusively on
    their artistic production since neither historical, social
    nor political information is known to exist.
