    Very impressive heavy copper coil rod bracele bracelet known as
    Mitako, also called "teke", used widely by various peoples
    throughout the Congo to store (cache) wealth and as currency. At
    one time the mitako currency was the only acceptable form of
    currency in widespread use throughout Central Africa, according
    to Opitz.

    The piece presented here is in  a glorious deep patina in
    exceptional condition.
